Dear Christian Friends,
Greetings in Christ to all of you from Kenya. Asante sana (Many thanks) for faithfully praying for us and our ministry.
The Lord has given us an encouraging start to 2018. For the first seven weeks of the year we saw at least one adult or teenage profession of faith in Christ each Sunday.
William Wambua sometimes attends our Friday night Bible study fellowship. Back in December he was spared from serious injury in a multicar crash. Thirty-two people died in the accident but he had only scratches. He told us that he was asking why God had saved his life. We shared with him that it was so that he could be saved spiritually and become a child of God. We were able to lead him to Christ and two weeks ago he attended the worship service at Zion Rd. Indep. Baptist Church for the first time.
Mike meet Eric Odinda and his 3 year old daughter outside a shop while buying a soda the second Sunday of January. Mike encouraged him to start the New Year by beginning to attend church as a family. He came with his wife Verna the next Sunday. We began a Sunday afternoon Bible study with them and he has since accepted Christ as Savior. Verna had already been saved through watching a Christian website. We planning to baptism them in two weeks.
Feb. 23-25 was our third Faith Promise Missions Conference. We are challenging our members to be actively involved in supporting other Kenyans who are planting churches in Kenya and in the neighboring countries of East Africa. The Lord moved in the hearts of our people who have committed to trusting God for the church to give about $150.00 a month to missions.
We praise God for doing so much so far this year and are excited about what He is going to do the rest of the year.
We appreciate your important part on our ministry.
